Alcatel Lucent is in turnaround mode. The environment for telecoms infrastructure is tough with increasingly stiff competition from the Far East. Its mission is to demonstrate innovation in all that it does.
Its corporate vision is summed up by the line "At the speed of ideas". So the brief for this year's corporate reporting was to create communications that would be noticed and remembered.
Each piece of the reporting mix was designed to be as fit for purpose as each audience needed. It catered for the skim reader, the detail analyst, the employee and the business partner. More importantly it simply said Alcatel Lucent is about innovation.
- A reporting portal on the corporate website that would bring together financial and sustainability communications with quarterly reports, and social media tools
- An online annual review, designed for tablet, and supported by rich media including film
- An enhanced pdf sustainability report which contained links to film, links to other relevant web content and enhanced navigation that gave it the feel of a website.
